Though now it hits me that this might be a different continuity. Joker died after that mission. There's no reason he'd kidnap Alfred, unless it was some plot to get Bruce Wayne to pay ransom. And my theory that Bruce had learned his lesson from Tim goes out the window now that I remember that detail.
