Quite the Weekend...
Jun. 24th, 2005 01:53 pmI headed into work late for the sole reason of having to return the DVD I rented from Blockbuster a week ago. It took me a little over forty-five minutes to clean things up and get things organized. Doesn't really help that my hands smell like I just finished dusting. Will need to take a shower following lunch, to be sure.
My mother and I have plans to go see the latest hit "Batman Begins" tomorrow afternoon precisely at noon. I've heard both sides of the debate about this latest installment-the movie rocked, two thumbs up, Christian Bale sucked, the role of Batman was played too dark, etc. At first, I wasn't planning to see it. (Said the same about Harry Potter, and now I enjoy it. I doubt the phrase "Open mouth, insert foot" would work here, but it sounds humorous enough to fly.) The only thing I cannot get into is that tank-like Batmobile. No matter what I may think of the movie, of the performances done by the talented actors, that version of the Batmobile reminds me too much of a monster truck.
Despite the fact that I plan to see a movie about Batman's origin, the quote for today will be from my recently purchased Robin #139.
"My real reason for coming here is to steal you away from Batman. I'm here to RECRUIT you." -The Veteran, Robin #139
