white_tiger: Tigerzord! (Batgirl and Robin-Dynamic Duo...)

Aside from not being able to meet up with my friend as we had planned, my day went exceptionally well. Got in and out of work without a hitch, and even finished a part of my homework for my evening class. Wasn't able to afford Nightwing #117 this week, but hope to pick it up next week. (I read it and was very pleased with the end results!)

Green Arrow #45

This back issue released in December of 2004 featured the debut of the new Speedy, Mia Dearden. Pretty awesome way for her to be brought into the superhero fold, in my opinion. Hope I can come across 46 one day, since she meets with the Teen Titans in the following issue after this one.

Robin #147

Not only is this the last part of a two-part saga, but it's the last Robin before One Year Later! It works out pretty well, actually-Robin, Wonder Girl, Speedy and Beast Boy make it out of the lab with one vial needed to help Superboy-though, it's a one-time deal; one more dose, even if used within 1,000 years, would kill him. Willingham left us with a strong cliffhanger in regards to Robin's decision, though-he starts to give out an answer, and we end up seeing this on the last panel:

Supergirl #4

This issue, despite the fact that it was two months late, was worth the wait. Not only was this dark version of Supergirl-who doesn't want to be referred by that name, or affliated with the house of El-able to take down Luthor, but a few members of the now-defunct JLA! Good thing Supergirl was able to wake up in time-thanks to Starfire-and stopped her darker half from causing anymore harm. Enjoyed the brief appearance by Black Canary-shocking way for her to arrive, but not surprising! Only two more weeks until Supergirl #5 is released-can't wait! And, I hope we won't have to wait any longer.

Teen Titans #32

Just like Robin, this issue, as well as Teen Titans #33 will both be Infinite Crisis crossovers. Pretty amazing how they were able to mesh key moments of the Crisis into the current Titans issue, but have this told from Superboy's POV. To toss in a bit of excitement, Speedy finally used that blue arrow her mentor Arsenal stole from the Fortress of Solitude back when he was Speedy-it turned out to be a Phantom Zone arrow! Almost worked on Superboy-Prime, but it just wasn't able to get the job done. Beast Boy and the members of the Doom Patrol, similar to Power Girl in Infinite Crisis #2, regained their memories about what occurred in the past/various universes almost immediately after the alternate Superboy broke free from his prison. Bart even sacrificed himself during this issue, which is the reason why he ends up going into the Speed Force after the others in Infinite Crisis #4-truly liked his final words to Cassie, Tim and Conner:

"Take care of each other. Don't forget that. The Justice League did."

Can't wait to see either Teen Titans #33 or Teen Titans Annual #1! (Even if both are pushed back until next month.)

"This day is never going to end." -Robin, Robin #147

"...I wouldn't bet my life on that!" -Supergirl, Supergirl #4

"There are families within families. This is mine." -Superboy, Teen Titans #32
