Batgirl Gone Bad...

The day went better than I'd expected it to go, honestly. The appointment I had set up at the college regarding my job hunting was almost a half-hour, and I was able to make it to where I wanted to go before 10:00. Upon my arrival, I was able to pick up one comic book. (I'd been tempted to get the Supergirl #5 issue that had a cover done by Michael Turner, but figured I could wait a few more days.) Afterward, I went to work, then home to complete my amount of chores.
Nightwing #120
They say good things come to those who wait. The good thing that came to me was how I wanted to properly critique this issue. Dick's comments toward Jason on how he was "slightly delusional" was amusing to see at the beginning, as well as the explanation to Clancy about Jason and how it mixed with the Pierce Brothers' figuring out that Jason was a faux Nightwing.
And it's finally dawned on the NYPD that Manhattan has not one, but two Nightwings running around the streets of the City that Never Sleeps-quite good, though Dick actually dressed up like Nightwing during a fashion show with people watching wasn't something I expected. As for Jason's comment? Humorous in it's own way.
"Whoa-talk about coming out! Bravo! Bravo! Excellente! Bravissimo!"
The battle Jason and Nightwing engaged in during the fashion show was astounding with every panel, especially the one with Jason bargaining with his one-time predecessor:
"You let me go, we'll end this my way. Soon. You take me in, my friends make sure yours don't live to see next week."
Cheyenne figuring out that Dick is Nightwing seems to be a recurring theme with the women Dick knows-why that is, I'm not sure. As for Dick realizing that she has powers, that would've been discovered soon enough. Jason tangling with a monster on the last page is reason enough to pick up Nightwing #121.
Robin #150
While on the subject of Robins, I picked up the monumental 150th issue, and with this comic book in my possession, it's been 100 issues since I received my very first Robin issue. (I first got #50 back in December of 1997; it seems like it was just yesterday.)
As stunning as this issue was, from start to finish, the third part of this four-part saga answered some questions that I had already deduced, but wanted confirmed: Cassandra has gone over to the Dark Side full-time, she has taken over the League of Assassins, and she does want Tim by her side. How does that come to pass? All Tim has to do is kill her father.
Though, one year away from the family she once had has done wonders for her language skills. Not to mention during the second-to-last page, Cassandra repeated a line to Tim that he'd used on her back in Batgirl #59. Eye for an eye, some would say.
"You'll never be him. You know that, right? Way down deep you know...you're just his tool."
The two final pages of both of these issues leave me eager to get Nightwing #121 and Robin #151, but patience is a virtue...in most cases.
"...I'm willing to do what it takes!" -Jason Todd, Nightwing #120
"...You've been one more tool in his utility belt." -Cassandra Cain, Robin #150
