Holidays...

I don't enjoy many holidays anymore, at least, not like I did when I was younger. Easter isn't about looking for a bunch of eggs painted numerous colors, Halloween isn't about going around various people's houses-who you don't even know-dressed up and asking for some candy, and Christmas isn't about being a good little boy-or girl-and getting presents from "Santa."

My grandfather, at this current time, is ministering a wedding for one of my old friends. (I attended her rehearsal dinner just last night and noticed that she's done pretty well for herself.) My mother has fallen asleep while watching "Batman," the movie from 1989, something that she suggested, and normally, I would have to suggest.

I, however, am not at that crossroads anymore like I was a couple days ago, but was given a (proverbial) harsh slap in the face by my mother: The world will always be seen in black and white, nothing is set in stone, and everyone you meet will always be wearing a mask to hide their true selves.

This day's quote will be a bit optimistic, even if I'm feeling a bit in-between, and will be from a past issue of Teen Titans...Despite how I feel, I would like everyone who still enjoys holidays, to celebrate Easter and to enjoy yourself on this special day.
