The Rock...Doom

My mother and I *were*-key word, were-eager to see The Rock in his latest movie, which came out this past Friday. We got to see it today at the 1:30 showing, and I had to pay for both our tickets. (If I'd known I was gonna have to break my $20.00 bill, I'd have suggested we wait until the 4:00 showing.)
Without spoiling too much, this movie lived up to its R rating, and stayed true to the game. People died, a 24th chromosome was discovered, there were too many disturbing scenes to recall thoroughly, humans were turned into monsters, and The Rock played the role of a bad guy who carried a Big F***ing Gun throughout the middle of the movie and onward.
Surprisingly enough, he had an amazing kick-ass fight scene at the end with the hero of the movie, who went by the codename Reaper. Despite the stunning visual effects, etc, this isn't a movie I plan to rush out to buy when it ends up on DVD. No quote for today, but perhaps there will be one sometime later on this week.
