Never Complete...

I went into work, stayed a little longer than I'd intended, but I hadn't cared about that. That just meant I had to work a bit harder to get what I needed done. Afterward, I hung out with some friends for a few hours, then went by Wal-Mart to make a Layaway payment, which was needed. The good news is that I really cut the price down, and will wait until a friend of mine gives me $10.00 to pay the rest during the next few days.
The bad news...I received some mail from Mile High Comics. It wasn't the issue of
The Titans/Young Justice: Graduation Day #1that I'd been waiting for for about a total of twenty-five days. It was a refund check for $21.00. Meaning that they didn't have the issue I'd sent them the money for in that condition.
Had I known that something of this magnitude was going to happen, I would've used the money I sent for the issue for my Layaway. To sound somewhat cliche, I've used all my lifelines-gone from comic book store to comic book store in town, and was only able to find the last two issues of the three-part mini-saga. I even mailed money to a place in Colorado...and struck out. As much as I don't want to admit it, I may need to resign myself to the fact that I won't ever get to complete the saga.
Life has given me kicks to the behind on numerous occasions-in more heartwrenching, painful ways than this-but, I haven't felt this distraught since mid-July.
