Cloudy and Dark...
Dec. 1st, 2005 01:33 pmAs November comes to a close and December makes it's annual trip back for 31 days, today being only the first, I find myself plagued with hardship.
As a result of the computer still acting up, I am forced to head back to the public library to use internet service, which does include as I post this journal. (This means my time has been restricted to an hour-or 30 minutes, though I prefer the full hour.)
I would make comments on the issues I ended up buying the past few weeks-Robin #144, Batgirl #70 and, just recently, Batman #647, but I don't feel entirely in the mood to do so. That, plus the rain that has made its way to my city has me slightly on edge. On the plus side, my mother informed me earlier this week that, come tomorrow, we would get pizza for dinner. My role-playing games seem to be progressing nicely, and I've tossed in my two cents as much as possible this week.
This Sunday, when I get paid again, I'll be venturing to Borders on business-basically, buying my mother one of her two-possibly three-Christmas presents. The quotes for today come from the same issue I purchased a few weeks ago.
"We've all been there...wanting to carry the ball ourselves. Thinking this is your problem to fix. And it NEVER works out." -Nightwing
"Every one of us has a blackness within us." -Lex Luthor, Supergirl #3
