One Month Later

Despite the fact that I really, really, REALLY wanted to buy Batman Annual when I went by the comic book store after work, especially after reading through it, the price seemed a bit too steep for me. I ended up putting it back in the hopes that I'll be able to purchase it the following week.
The good news is that I was able to get two other issues, one of them being the first of two One Year Later issues that were released today. (The other one was JSA #83, and if I'm able to, I might get that one also.) My day went well, especially since the sun was shining brightly throughout the course of the morning and afternoon.
Tomorrow, I have my appointment scheduled at 10:00 AM in order to go over...paperwork, X-rays and cleaning of my teeth, since I wasn't able to get it done yesterday. All I'm gonna say about that is I'd better get injected with novocaine.
Infinite Crisis #5
This issue should've been out last month, but since it seems to fall within the final two days of February, I suppose I can give the benefit of the doubt to DC this time. The last thing I'd expected was that Luthor would actually be able to break into Titans Tower, but if Robin and the other Titans were to break into one of Luthor's labs undetected-back in Robin #146, 147, it's only likely Luthor's able to do likewise. Strangely enough, Luthor helped a sleeping Superboy out by giving him information that may prove to be very valuable for him and Nightwing.
Lois Lane from Earth-2 ended up dying in Superman's arms, and I was reminded of the original Crisis of Infinite Earths when one panel showed Kal-L screaming while holding Lois; I was reminded of the famous/infamous cover of Superman holding his late cousin Supergirl in that pose. Superman's Earth-2 counterpart hadn't been the only one to survive the extinction of their world-apparently, Wonder Woman's counterpart had been able to survive also, and she helped the current Amazon Warrior reach the now-fighting-each-other Supermen on Earth-2. (Also reminded of the very first comic book that featured Superman when Earth-2 Superman lifted a car and attacked Earth-1 Superman with it!)
According to Alexander Luthor, Earth-2 Superman was the key for the multiverse to return. And, with one shot from Brother Eye that connected with Superman, about over 20 parallel Earths-including one that looked triangle-shaped, and another that looked like a cube!-appeared in the sky, and were seen at Titans Tower by Nightwing and Superboy! Speaking of the Boy of Steel, with Flash's return into Earth-1, though without Kid Flash or his family with him, it seemed that he and Bart were unable to hold Superboy Prime, and he's on his way back, with a new suit to match his mood!
The Outsiders #34
Dick Grayson apparently survives the current Crisis, otherwise he wouldn't be featured in this issue that takes place one year after the events in Infinite Crisis and has a new team of Outsiders to lead-Grace, Thunder and Katana are familiar, as is Metamorpho; seeing Captain Boomerang as one of the good guys was a bit of a surprise, but it could be something to get used to. Not seeing either Arsenal, Jade, Captain Marvel or Starfire was a bit unsettling. Nightwing's last comment on the final two pages were a bit humorous, even if the tone behind it was dead serious:
"Hell, by tomorrow morning...it'll be a miracle if the whole world doesn't know that you're all not actually dead."
This could be part of a 2-part event, or like Teen Titans, it could be a 3-part storyline. Either way, I'm with this new team that's supposed to be dead for their current run.
"We have to make do with what we've got." -Robin
"This is our last stand." -Nightwing, Infinite Crisis #5
