Even if it's still only around 1:30 PM, my day has gone very well, despite the fact that my emotions are mixed. Perhaps it's due to the comic books I got earlier after getting off work, or maybe some other reason.

Once I finish my lunch, even if it's been over an hour since noon, I'll see to getting my emotions on a more positive scale than what they're like now.

Batman: Detective Comics #818

The third part of this 8-part saga went pretty even-paced, and showed a shred of emotion from Bruce during his conversation with Alfred regarding Tim. It even showed Tim in his home-which used to be the horses' stables for Bruce but he allowed Tim to fix it, as Tim explained in Robin #148-who showed a bit of emotion. Something you don't see that much from him in his Robin guise. The two conversed during a nightly patrol after they'd cleaned Mad Hatter's clock.

What I hadn't expected, but almost should've, were the apparent deaths of both the Ventriloquist and Scarface; when I saw them on the next panel, I knew they were the next ones to go, however. Jason Bard working for Batman wasn't something I saw, but know will be interesting to see. The part with Harvey and his old alter-ego Two-Face was truly intriguing. Can't wait to see how this develops in Batman #652.

Infinite Crisis #6

Ever since I collected the Teen Titans Annual and Teen Titans #33, I had been worried about one thing happening, and unfortunately, that took place in this issue; a ton of people have been talking about it online, so kinda not that hard to miss what became fact-Superboy, Conner Kent, Kon-El, died while saving the Earth from the threats of Alexander Luthor and Superboy Prime. Though I have to admit-he went out in a blaze of glory, taking the fight to his doppelganger when it counted and sending both himself and S-Prime flying into the tower that was causing this catastrophe, effectively taking out Alexander Luthor at the same time. The last panel-with Wonder Girl holding Superboy, with Batman, Nightwing, both Supermen and Wonder Woman around them-is one that won't be forgotten.

As for Batman, he and his team were able to successfully bring down Brother Eye, though one part of Batman's final conversation with what he had created intrigued me-while Nightwing had been referred to as Beta, Bruce had been referred to as Alpha. Had Tim been up there with the others, it's just as likely he would've been referred to as Beta too.

Outsiders #35

The second part to this saga wasn't as high-paced as the first, but the interrogation by Capt. Boomerang and Grace looked a bit humorous to me. Dick's comment during said interrogation was very hilarious: "A seven-foot psychotic woman in a leather mask is scarier than me."

Though Dick's comment about things being about the big picture was inspiring in a way. However, with the Outsiders being attacked by a speedster-someone who could rival any of the Flashes-things have just been turned up a notch. Or 2,000.

Teen Titans #34

I have been waiting for this issue ever since last month, and while I was intrigued by it, I was also stunned at what has happened to the team within a year. Raven and Beast Boy splitting up wasn't something I was thrilled to read about, nor Raven quitting, Mia being on an island with Connor Hawke , Beast Boy rejoining the Doom Patrol or Bart retired.

Oh, yeah-and Cassie's pissed off at Tim for leaving her alone throughout the course of one year after Conner's death due to him going on a trip around the world with Batman and Nightwing-again, as previously mentioned in Robin #148. (Tim's response to Cassie's question concerning Conner was pure Batman-"I got better. I trained.") I can't say I blame her, though refusing to rejoin the team is a bit harsh, even if her reasoning is sound. I'm hoping that will be remedied within the next few issues.

And, speaking of remedies, it looks like deep below the catacombs of Titans Tower, Tim is attempting to play Frankenstein by recombining Superman and Luthor's DNA, which would bring Superboy back. Though, I doubt he would be the same person who sacrificed himself to save the world. So far, he's had the computer try 96 attempts, and they've all failed. As the issue closes, the 97th attempt is started. Something else to look into within the next few issues.

"We need you, Cassie. I need you." -Robin

"You left me all alone." -Wonder Girl, Teen Titans #34

"I could leave things the way they are, but I feel I should do more." -Bruce Wayne, Batman: Detective Comics #818
