Ups and Downs

The funeral lasted over an hour, from my estimation-that, and since it started at 1:00 and ended at 2:19, that helped me figure out the length of the services. Since I had worked an extra day, yay-I get paid extra. I used some of it, but not all of my earnings at my event on Sunday, which, excuse the term, was kick ass awesome.
I have $33.00 remaining, due to the part that I used $7.13 to buy some Pepsi and the latest issue of Shonen Jump. The part of today that I really didn't like concerned my best friend and his current-yet, soon to be ex-girlfriend, since I found myself in the middle. I was like their mediator. (or, in layman's terms, to settle differences.) I told them that they had to sit down somewhere, with no outside voices talking, just the two of them, so they could work this out, and they would be able to remain on good terms.
The day was already tainted by not only the fact that my best friend showed up-unannounced and unplanned-at my house in the morning, but I discovered-inside his bag-an event of mine-that I'd paid $17.00 for long ago at a nearby Wal-Mart last year-and my two Digimon Adventure Zero Two mangas-I may not like the way it ended, but that doesn't mean I didn't want them. I forgave him for it, but it doesn't mean that I'm not pissed with him; plus, it confirms some suspicions that I didn't want to believe-my uneasiness I always get whenever he would stay over, his constant insistences that he didn't take some other magazines that ended up missing and some of my CDs, which he returned under the claim that he'd "found them in between my house and my work." (I'm not in the mood to leave off with a quote this evening, by the way.)
I would've expected these actions from a stranger. But, to have these actions done to me by someone who I consider my best friend after three years...it makes you wonder if you can trust anybody you choose to invite into your life.
