On a scale of 1-10, I'd have to declare yesterday a 6. Reason being is because my mother and I returned back to Riverdale-a countryish-like town that's about 30-40 minutes away from Fresno-for my mother's reunion. (My 10-year reunion won't be for another 5 years.) She had fun, and I'm pleased she was able to do so. I spent time with my grandfather, but then he left me at his house due to...a small situation that was easily remedied, as I found out a number of hours later.

I just got home, since my mother decided to remain for the entire event, and hadn't informed me until she was at the reunion. (She'd seen some people who remembered me, especially one in particular because I went to school with that one's child.)

On a more personal level, my mother told me that my father hadn't gone to the reunion-which I wasn't surprised about, naturally-yet, she told me that the one time I'd seen my father-which was on December 30, 1989-wasn't the only time. There were three times total: one was when we were at a McDonald's and she had been given $50.00 by him; the second was the aforementioned date above when I met him at a park, received pizza and a football from him; the third was, according to my mother, when I was on my way to a game, and he nearly hit me. The only time I remember going to a game at all back home was when I was in high school, and that was over 5 years ago.

The quote for this very late evening/very early morning comes from Teen Titans #1.

"You think I need more training? Need to be mentored some more?" -Robin

"No, Robin. I just think you need to see your friends." -The Batman, Teen Titans #1

(yawns lightly) I can pretty much say that today's events far surpassed yesterday's events. The reason is this-other than getting paid, I went down to Heroes to see if I could pick up Detective Comics #809, only to see that they were sold out. I was a bit frustrated by it, but was able to get over my frustration by buying the Supergirl poster-the one that was the alternate cover for Superman/Batman #13 a year ago-as well as a Batman VS System Starter deck. (I don't plan to play the game; I just believe that the cards look very cool, plus the artwork on them is astounding.)

Had to give up a $10.00 for the poster, plus $21.00 for the deck, then, $4.00 when my mother took me to a nearby gas station so I could buy us some soda. (We had pizza for dinner, and it's all gone. :P) Meaning I have $15.00 remaining, and will save that for this upcoming Wednesday, because both Supergirl #0 and Supergirl #1 are finally going to be released, as well as Nightwing #111. I'm quite eager to see how Deathstroke is handled in this issue, since I enjoyed him back in Nightwing #80-82.

There is another issue-not comics-that I will need to consider, but at the moment, I can't think of how to properly word it.

The quote for this evening comes from Nightwing #81, during a small, but very exciting, battle between Deathstroke and Batgirl.

"...You're good." -Deathstroke, Nightwing #81
