Tolerable Weekend

For the most part, I can look forward to a weekend of some goodness-"some" being that I will sleep in and watch television, if I feel the need to do so. "Some" also implies that my issue may finally come in. (It didn't do so this entire week, nor did it do so Friday, so my frustration was only slightly quelled by an amazing conversation I had moments ago.) Also made an icon of my picture and put it in my journal, as shown above.
I am a bit incensed by one thing-how my cousin could just use my glass of Mickey Mouse that I got at McDonald's during my senior year without even asking once if she could do so.
Batman: Detective Comics #796
This issue I ended up buying hours ago while at school after work. It only cost $2.00, which was pleasing to me. I didn't buy it because it featured Stephanie as Robin; I only bought it because she gets a stern lecture from the Dark Knight at the end of it-that she used deadly force to take down a criminal. If I was able to find it, I would buy Robin #128-the issue in which Stephanie disobeys a direct order from Batman and is fired as the one-time Girl Wonder.
Superman: Action Comics #779
This issue I came across and featured not just Superman, but Kon-El and Linda Danvers as the then-Girl of Steel on the cover. It was decent enough and cost only $2.43. This issue was a prelude to the "Our Worlds At War" saga, interestingly enough.
Robin #92
This issue was like a sequel of sorts to Robin #87-an issue I would greatly enjoy getting one day. (In the latter issue, Batman betrays Robin's trust and tells Stephanie his secret identity. Furious with Bruce for doing so, Tim actually leaves the country in the following issue.) In this issue, Batman and Robin have a heated discussion about the actions that the Boy Wonder took, then he once again leaves the Batcave and has to face the consequences of leaving the country.
Teen Titans #28
This issue is more current related, but a month behind. Frustrating to wait for, but it was worth it, since it's the conclusion to a 2-part saga. I enjoyed how Robin was able to face his inner demons and play a pivotal role in taking down the main bad guy in this and help out a fellow Titan-Raven; her soul self had been captured at the end of the previous issue, and the other Titans ventured into a rift in order to find it. Though, one of the best moments in the issue was when Wonder Girl consoled Raven at the end:
Raven: ...Would-would you mind sitting with me in the dark?
Wonder Girl: Dark's just fine with me. And if anyone tries to turn the light on, I'll just kick their butt. How's that sound?
Raven: Thank you...Cassie.
Wonder Girl: Hey...that's what sisters are for.
JSA Classified #4
This issue, much like The Return of Donna Troy #4 and Gotham Central #36, didn't disappoint. It explained what countless others have been waiting for-Power Girl's origin. There was an appearance by Helena Wayne-Huntress and that world's Robin-Dick Grayson, I believe-which was stunning to see. Seeing Clayface ambush Power Girl at the end of the issue was a bit shocking, but not entirely-last time he was seen was in Superman/Batman #19, then again in Supergirl #0 when the former issue was reprinted as the latter issue. This issue ties into Infinite Crisis #2, which comes out in two weeks, as does Teen Titans #29-the issue that features Robin-Tim Drake v.s. The Red Hood-Jason Todd. I can't wait for that to enter into stores.
