A better day, if not confusing
Jan. 20th, 2005 10:53 pmThings brightened up today, which is a good thing-learning that Denise can return to school is a huge plus. I was able to mail off her issue of X-Men Phoenix: Endsong yesterday as well, meaning she'll receive it either on Saturday or Monday.
The confusing part came earlier today as well. Denise informed me of a quiz she had taken, and I decided to take part in it as well despite her warning that I might find it disturbing. She was right-I did, yet took the quiz. And, since I did tell her I would do so, here are my results:
In other news, thanks to a friend of mine, I was able to see a Teen Titans marathon that took place this past Monday evening from 5:00-8:00 PM. They were some episodes of the 3rd season I hadn't yet seen-with the exception of Wavelength. The one labeled as "Episode 257-494" was very hilarious, since it's supposed to be a 4th season episode and it has the Teen Titans being pulled into the world of television in order to stop Control Freak, who has sent himself in.
This upcoming rhyme was said while Starfire was attempting to find him, and had an altercation (of sorts) with Beast Boy near the end:
Pelican: Oh, have you seen my hippo? He hides, and I must seek.
Starfire: I cannot play; please do you know a strange man named Control Freak? He is big-not tall-and nasty, and known for causing strife. He escaped into the TV-
Beast Boy: HEY STAR, RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!!! (runs away from a robot who has guns firing from his entire body)
Starfire: (screams while flying away as quick as possible)
This evening's quote-and the newest picture-is also from the aforementioned episode, and both could be meant as a message to all those who watch TV-or, just good fashioned humor.
"Do not watch this program! It will liquefy your brain! An escaped criminal has tampered with this transmission, and it is imperative that you turn off your television right now! (1/2 a second passes) I'M SERIOUS! STOP WATCHING THIS SHOW!" -Robin
"I...don't think they're listening." -Raven, Teen Titans: "Episode 257-494"
