"I may be old, but I can still pull it off."

I was supposed to hang out with my friend today after I got off work, yet I never met with him at my work, as we had planned. That left me slightly incensed, and strangely enough, I ran into his brother while on the bus. He smelled of alcohol, which wasn't cool at all, but I ignored his breath until after he got off, then quickly changed seats.

The weekend went by rather quickly, and during the weekend, I was able to pick up the Batman Begins soundtrack, which in my opinion is very good. A reliable source mentioned that it's very atmospheric and reflective of the movie itself; I'd have to agree on that matter. Today while I went to the mall in another city entirely, I picked up Neon Genesis Evangelion Volume II, which I got at a low price-$13.79. Next week, or perhaps later on this week, if I'm able to, I'll see if I can go back to the mall and get the CD prior to this one.

Also got some pizza for lunch, but had to wait until I got home from my final class this evening to eat it! Long story short, I had to wait for a number of buses in order to get back home to begin with, and when I did get home, the damn soda I'd bought with the pizza went flat. Ick. Later on this week, I know for a certainty that I'll be picking up Nightwing #119, which features Dick Grayson v.s. Jason Todd for the mantle of Nightwing! Just as exciting as Tim Drake v.s. Jason Todd back in Teen Titans #29.

Within a week, this month will come to a close. Some good has come out of March, and some bad.

This will be a short entry, as I need to get to work in a few minutes. After which, I will head to the nearest bank to get my check cashed. Once that's taken care of, I'm returning home to see if I can set up an appointment with the college regarding a second job opportunity, until I can get the book I hope to have published finished; there's also another appointment I need to get finalized-the one concerning my polishing of my teeth. That was never truly set, and I need to make sure the day that was specified-being Thursday-was on the dot.

The remnant of the week went pretty well. I survived not having the computer for a total of five days-Sunday through Thursday-and was able to pick up four issues on Wednesday-three DC; one Marvel. At the moment, I'm alone in the house-my mother went on a trip with some people that she knows, and from today until sometime on Sunday, I have the place entirely to myself.

Aside from the fact that I went into work, went to my weekly evening class, and had a decent talk with a friend, my day was soured when I quickly got online for a short time earlier. After checking in at DCComics.com, I was shocked and appalled to see that the listing for Teen Titans #34 had been pushed from this Wednesday-soon to be tomorrow-all the way to April 5th! Normally, I wouldn't be that upset about something as trivial like this, but DC Comics has stated that all of their books would catch up to each other officially this month. So far, two stabs in the back concerning Supergirl and Teen Titans!

If I don't see two covers concerning Teen Titans #34 this upcoming Wednesday at the comic book store-both of them, since I may just decide to make a second trip-I will be beside myself with brimming anger. On the plus side, Nightwing #118 will still be released, and that is something to look forward to. The question is...which Nightwing will it be, and who will be behind that mask?

Tomorrow, within 8 hours, I will finally have my teeth cleaned. The nervousness still hasn't reared its ugly head, though I don't look forward to this moment in my life.

Save for the fact that I must embark on cleaning the bathroom from top to bottom-once more-my day was decent. The sun's out, no sign of rain whatsoever, I went to work, did what I needed to do there and went by the comic book store.

As predicted, they'd run out of Batman Annual, but they had Detective Comics #817 there, especially since it was late by two days and I hadn't bothered to check last Friday for its arrival. I picked up a current issue, an issue pushed back by a month, and a back issue that hadn't been released since October 1999.

My scheduled appointment went by a bit quicker than last time, but I still didn't get my teeth cleaned. The good news is that I did get them X-rayed, had pictures taken, was informed how my next two appointments were going to go and got to pay the entire $30.00 before I left.

I had pizza for dinner last night, and got half-and-half: half pepperoni, half Canadian bacon and pineapple. Quite enjoyable, in my opinion. I'd tried the latter for toppings before, but it has been quite a while since I've had that kind of pizza.

Despite the fact that my mother's sick with a cold, she's still planning on going to this baby shower one of my cousins is having in a few hours. Meaning I'll get the house to myself, but it won't entirely be fun and games. (I still have my homework to take care of.)

My next appointment is this upcoming Tuesday, once again at 10:00 AM. The cleaning procedure will finally begin, and the dentist-who kept commenting, "Clear!" before taking a total of 18 X-rays; I found the comments humorous-informed me that yes, she would be giving me some novocaine prior to the cleaning.

I changed the quote since within two days, on Wednesday, March will be here. I felt it was an appropriate one, since that response has been on my mind for over a week now. (That, and I watched the movie sometime this month.)

This will also be a short post, since I'm planning on going to sleep soon. Tuesday will be a day of good/bad fortune. Why? I'm getting my teeth cleaned at the college. It only costs $15.00, so that's quite good. What would be bad is if they didn't have any novocaine. (Yes, I'm pretty damn serious about that one.)

Precision is the name of this game. Ten days after I was told that I would get a call, I got the call at 10:22 this morning-twelve hours and nearly 10 minutes-concerning my glasses. I headed down to the mall and ended up running into a friend of mine; he took a picture of me-my new default icon which is visible right now; the full size picture is seen below. (For some weird reason, my friend informed me of one of the passersby behind me after the picture was taken. I can easily guess the reason, but don't want to go into it now.)

Also got a back issue, but will leave a review about it sometime later on this week after I've gotten my other issues. Wasn't able to head by the college unfortunately, but getting my glasses makes up for that.

If I had to describe how my day went, it would be as such: 10 for the morning/afternoon, 7 for the evening, -30 for 11:30 and beyond.

The reason being, I had a good time with my grandfather as always. I was even able to finish the homework for my class this Monday while there. My mother and I were there a bit too long, but that didn't matter. We stopped by her office for a time, which is always good. Once again, I got to partake in the eating of some cake, which may or may not have been a good thing.

Things took a downward spiral as the day turned into evening and night. While watching Patlabor, I was informed-in no uncertain terms-that the dishes had best be done, else if they remained as they were come the morning, the consequences would be truly dire. It was a warning, but I heard it as a warning/threat. I don't know why, but I was left with a bitter feeling in my mouth afterward.

To make things even more satisfying, while taking a small break prior to doing the dishes, I felt a displeasing pain in the pit of my stomach that seemed to crawl up into my chest. I haven't felt this since I was younger, and never enjoyed that feeling even then-the feeling you get when you're about to reveal what you've had for lunch and/or dinner via your mouth.

I still have that feeling within the back of my throat and my chest, but only a partial one. I don't think I'm real sick, but I wonder what this will mean for the upcoming week, or if I'll even be able to do anything that I have planned tomorrow.
